IAA Frankfurt ‘09…

•November 1, 2009 • Leave a Comment

…190000 m2 of automobile.

This was the first international motor show that i went to and i must say it was fantastic. For car freak like me, this kind of event is opportunity to see cars in close view and for amateur photographer as i am, is opportunity to take photos of cars that you only see in magazines and on internet.

First i must say that if you want to get as much as you can from this show you must go there for at least 2 or 3 days. I went to Frankfurt with two friends for one day (10:00 till 17:00) and we see all, but not with the precision, we just fly by.

Secondly, organization of the show is on top-level, from parking to the entrance up to the exit. On the web page (www.iaa.de) you can get all the info you need for motor show and things like travelling, eating, resting,… so you don’t need to worry about anything, just maybe is better if you speak german (especially when you are looking for the parking place), but also no problem if you speak english. One of the “bad” things at show was lighting of some cars, which could be better at given situation and place, every exhibitor should know how to put light on their car, because wrong light can hide or misrepresent car lines.

Well, you got to see it, to feel it, so i recommend visit.

Below you can see photos of few cars that i like the most (click on photo to enlarge).

Opel Insignia…

…new era of Opel cars.

Today i was driving new Opel Insignia, just a quick test drive, so i can see how the Insignia is responding on the road. It was fantastic, automatic six-stage gearbox shifts great, diesel motor respond fast and feels strong (2.0 CDTI), all the electronic staff seems very reliable,…

Design of Insignia is almost totaly diferent of other Opel models, but it still have some details which are tipcal for Opel. So, design of Insignia is beautiful and smooth, all car lines seems to fit together and link between the interior and exterior is great. Each line on the car is very advanced and sophisticated; from front, passed by lateral line to the back side of the car…Interior is nice and comfortable, dashboard is positioned a bit too high, but on the other hand it gives safe and strong feeling, all buttons are understandable and within reach,….

In the near future, hopely, i’ll get Opel Insignia for weekend test drive and then i’ll write more about this beautiful car and put some photo on blog too.

Is it black barb with white stripe or …

It is nice to write and post some photos after long time and i must say that some of you is really checking this blog, thanks!

This post has two (2) photos and the first is result of playing in Photoshop with B/W and color, it was taken on vacation on Pag (Ručica) this year, the second picture presents barbs of two Indian Crested Porcupine in Ljubljana ZOO and the photo is not B/W so it is even more special to me.

Again don’t just look at the photos, try to get whole story out of first thought when you look at photos.

I apologize to all who find those picture too disruptive.

A sequence of lines

Mostly, our life is lined-up by some type of order and also with the border which tell us what we can and what we can not do. This is almost the same as in photography…through my learning and meeting with a different types of motives i realize that no mather what equipment you have, for best posibile photo, you need to think, about motive, out of your personal border and trend lines in head. I still have joy in taking photos of everything (until i find my spot in wide area of photography), and right now i find lines as attractive motive. Some of my “sequence of lines” is seen in above photos.

When i see sky, i take it as a big playground, of course with my Nikon. I find sky-blue color as very motivating and relaxing, so is joy to take photos of sky. Above you can see some of my pictures which has blue sky for background, sure they aren’t great photos because i am still learning, but start is a start.
